North
Carolina Mountain Golf is a huge part of the High Country lifestyle, and many
residents in the mountains of North Carolina spend much of their
free time on the great North Carolina mountain golf courses in the
High Country, many of which offer breathtaking landscapes and
competitive layouts. There are several excellent NC golf courses in the
area, some of which are located in private country clubs.
In Blowing Rock NC, residents and visitors can enjoy a round at
Blowing Rock Country Club’s course near the Green Park Inn. Sitting
along the Eastern continental divide at roughly 4,000 feet above sea
level, the course has been around for many years and continues to be
a favorite among Blowing Rock locals. In the town of Boone North
Carolina, there
are two wonderful courses that are excellent to play on. Willow
Creek Golf Course is located just off Hwy 105 and is a short drive
from Blowing Rock, and the Boone Golf Club, located in the Watauga
Valley, features gorgeous greens and rolling hills.
There are other North Carolina Mountain golf courses located in the resort towns of Beech Mountain
and Sugar Mountain. You can enjoy a round at the Beech Mountain Golf
Club or the Sugar Mountain Golf Club, both of which boast beautiful
greens and mountain landscapes.
There are also several private and semi-private courses located in
Banner Elk and Linville, just a short drive from Blowing Rock. Many
of these courses are located in beautiful, gated golf communities
that are mostly private courses, open only to residents and guests
of the resort. Some of the popular and award winning North Carolina
Mountain golf courses like
Elk River Club, Grandfather Golf and Country Club, and the Linville
Golf Club are all private courses, intricately designed, and have
won various awards and features across the state.
Golf can be a large part of the lifestyle of Blowing Rock NC and is
a great way to get out and see the beauty in the Blue Ridge
Mountains. With all of the excellent North Carolina mountain golf
courses in the area, who wouldn’t want to play a round? |
