Richard graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in business and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky where he met his wife of 40 years.  They moved to Blowing Rock, NC in 1993 and live on a 16 acre mini farm, two miles from Blowing Rock with three dogs and 5 cats.  Richard and his wife enjoy gardening, hiking, college basketball and outdoor activities.  Richard, a broker/owner of Village Real Estate, has been the Broker In Charge for the past 4 years.  He’s a member of the Avery/Watauga Board of Realtors, the North Carolina Board of Realtors, the National Board of Realtors and the Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce.
