Maurice is highly adept at researching and evaluating properties for
pre-development, commercial, and residential transactions. His own
experience in developing several subdivisions and in successfully
renovating a number of investment properties has honed his skills
for identifying and evaluating properties. He has won two awards for
the preservation and renovation of historic properties.
Additionally, he has become thoroughly familiar with and
participated in acquisitions and sales of land tracts throughout
Watauga, Ashe, and Avery Counties as well as in Tennessee.
A native of Waynesville, North Carolina, Maurice graduated with a
degree in Anthropology from Appalachian State University. Leaving
the mountains behind, he pursued his graduate studies at Florida
State University. After receiving his graduate degree in Archeology
he proceeded to the Florida Museum of Natural History at the
University of Florida, and spent seventeen years directing the
museum's field program in Spanish Colonial Archeology. Maurice, his
wife, Yvonne Mack, a Radiation Oncologist at the Seby B Jones Cancer
Center in Boone, and their two children moved to Blowing Rock in
1997. Since returning, Maurice has coordinated the construction of
his family's home in Blowing Rock in an outstanding neighborhood
that he developed. He has also enjoyed volunteering at his sons'
school and coaching youth baseball and football.
Let Maurice guide you through your quest to find the ideal property
for your needs and desires. You'll be glad you did!
